Tenille Townes Celebrates her Birthday With Vancouver at the Commodore Ballroom

Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom was filled with anticipation as Tenille Townes appeared on stage to a sold-out crowd on Friday. Townes was interrupted during the first song of the night after the crowd’s singing of “Happy Birthday” gained enough momentum to stop her right in her tracks. All smiles, Tenille modestly laughed, blushing while the entire venue sang her birthday song at the top of their lungs. The positive and energetic atmosphere of that moment set the tone for the rest of the night.

“We’re going to be doing something a little different on this tour, creating a show that reflects both sides of who I am and the music I make: the reflective songwriter and the rock and roll entertainer all in one setlist,” said Townes in a recent press release. Covering songs from Alanis Morissette, Melissa Ethridge, Leonard Cohen, and The Beatles, Tenille Townes transformed into the rockstar she promised us on tour.

If you can’t catch Tenille Townes on tour, make sure to watch the 2023 JUNOS, where the country star will take the stage for the first time ever.
