Bass Coast Festival Releases Full 2023 Lineup
Last week, British Columbia’s Bass Coast Festival announced this year’s full lineup, which runs from July 7-10, 2023. Celebrating its 15th year, Bass Coast has a global reputation for showcasing innovative international artists alongside emerging Canadian talent.
This year’s musical programming features over 150 artists from around the globe, showcasing genres from drum & bass to techno, disco to dubstep and house to jungle; an exciting snapshot of global electronic music.
Added to the roster alongside headliner Clozee are Brooklyn-based selector Ayesha, Berlin house royalty Black Loops, Vancouver’s disco don Dane, underground legend Daniel Bell, drum & bass pioneer Digital, South-African sonic innovator DJ Lag, Juno award-winning DJ Shub, low-end trailblazer Eprom, funk savants Fort Knox Five, soulful house producer Gene Tellem, Dutch R&B turntablist Jael, British multiinstrumentalist Jasper Tygner, UK garage & breaks up and comer Jay Carder, Alberta’s underground bass heroes Oakk and Little Snake, scene stalwart Mat the Alien, Deep-dance enthusiasts Pender Street Steppers, Montreal techno experimentalist Priori, award-winning drum & bass Producer / DJ Skeptical, feel-good party starters SkiiTour, London-bred tastemaker T.Williams, and experimental hip-hop DJ Tim Parker.
“This is a dream lineup for both DJs and dancers,” explains Bass Coast Co-Founder and Music Director Andrea Graham. “We're thrilled to be commemorating our 15th edition with world-class musicians representing the current state of cutting-edge electronic music.”
This announcement follows the festival’s First Wave Release which featured Ardalan, Batu, Bianca Oblivion, Christian Löffler, Client_03, Delano Smith, Elkka (DJ Set), Galcher Lustwerk, Hamdi, Interplanetary Criminal, Justin Martin, Marcellus Pittman, Move D, Nala, Nicola Cruz (DJ Set), Sicaria, Special Request, The Funk Hunters, The Librarian and Yu Su.
Future announcements will include numerous large-scale, interactive art installations, a range of performance artists, workshops, yoga, movement classes and more. Tickets for Bass Coast 2023 have now sold out.
