Chet Faker's Long Awaited Performance at History in Toronto

After postponing his long-awaited tour due to the pandemic, critically acclaimed artist, Chet Faker, finally graced Toronto with his presence at Toronto’s hottest venue, History. In the fall, Faker made an instagram post stating:

"Hotel Surrender North America Tour is being rescheduled to the fall because ya know…

🦠 Does this suck? Yes

Are we gonna make up for it in September? Yes

If you already have tickets, are they still good? Yes

Do I love and appreciate you all for listening to my weird musical output? Yes yes yes

It is safe to say, his performance was worth the wait, as the crowd at History welcomed Faker back with skyrocketing enthusiasm. Nick Murphy (Chet Faker) opened up to his Canadian audience and executed an interactive show that kept attendees buzzing long after he completed his set. From the seamless, yet powerful, transitions between songs, to his walk through the sea of fans, the artist truly connected to his audience through meaningful interaction. Through his passionate performance at History, it was obvious that the Melbourne-raised/Brooklyn-based artist writes, performs and records all of his own music.

Though Chet Faker rose to prominence between 2012 and 2014, it was evident how loyal his fans have been for almost a decade. He has been profiled by The Guardian and Rolling Stone, who had also named his performance at Coachella one of the “20 Best Things We Saw at Coachella 2015’s Weekend Two”. Faker’s performance in Toronto proved that he has not lost any momentum, only aged like fine wine, and surpassed all expectations.

It is not too late to catch Chet Faker at a city near you:
