"Arena Rock is Not Dead": Greta Van Fleet at the Rogers Arena
On Tuesday, Grammy-award winning rock band, Greta Van Fleet, electrified Vancouver's Rogers Arena and lurched over 10,000 fans into a rock 'n roll time-warp. On the heels of their sold out Spring 2022 Dreams in Gold arena tour, the band announced new arena shows for this fall; see below for a complete list of dates. The expansive new dates follow the band’s spring tour, which sold out over 100K tickets in just two days. Forming in Frankenmuth, Michigan back in 2012, Greta Van Fleet consists of three brothers, vocalist Josh Kiszka, guitarist Jake Kiszka, bassist/keyboardist Sam Kiszka, as well as drummer Danny Wagner. Together they have performed across multiple continents, sold over two million albums worldwide, and won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2019.
The group is touring in support of their acclaimed sophomore album The Battle at Garden’s Gate, released last year to extensive chart and critical success. The album debuted at #1 Billboard Rock Album, #1 Billboard Hard Rock Album, AND #1 Billboard Vinyl Album. The album currently has 275K in sales with streaming numbers at 200 million and continuing to climb.
Greta Van Fleet will be joined by a host of acclaimed artists on the rest of their tour, including Metallica, Houndmouth, Durand Jones & The Indications, Fruit Bats, Robert Finley, and Crown Lands.
